Jaguar® EC 275

Jaguar is selective herbicide combining two active ingredients which together control a wide range of broad-leaved weeds and the product can be regarded as a fast acting, relatively low dose rate herbicide, Jaguar is probably best known for its exceptional broadleaf weed spectrum and speed of action – but does have activity against a few annual grasses in cereal sand producing visible effects within days rather than weeks.

Common Name:
diflufenican, bromoxynil
Formulation:
Jaguar EC 275 is an Emulsifiable concentrate containing 250 g/l bromoxynil + 25 g/L diflufenican
Mode of action:
Bromoxynil is a post-emergence herbicide acting mainly by contact but with limited translocation activity. It reduces growth and consequently weakens the weeds compared to the vigorously growing crop. Diflufenican causes discoloration or whitening of new growth. A red-purple colour of the foliage is often observed after application and is a result of stress resulting from the absence of carotenoids. Later on, the seedling weeds suffer from necrosis and die.
